  This was a trip I recently made to the Dingwall C&CC Site, from 23rd to 26th Aug 21, which was nights 43 to 46 living in the caravan this year. It was a trip I had booked months ago taking advantage of a special offer for non-electric grass pitches. It worked out around £7 per night which I had pre paid back earlier in the year. A good choice as the solar panel was more than adequate for supplying the necessary power due to the excellent late summer weather. Dingwall is a well kept site, adjacent to Ross County's Stadium. It is also on the NC500 so can get very busy, especially this year. I was pitched side ways on a grassy area, but I had to move the van a few times to make the best attempt to avoid the bare dirt where grass had been killed by folk with awning carpets. Never understand why folk use carpets in an awning, and why the site allow it. It's ugly and involves a lot of restoration work. Nice location for walking around the town. This trip was nights 47 to 49 living in my caravan, from the 18th to 20th Sep 2021. I'm sure it's my 4th and last trip to Morvich C&MC Site for 2021. It's a site I've visited many times over the years in all my camper vans and caravans over the last 10yrs or so. It's a fantastic site situated in one of my favourite areas in Scotland, Kintail, next to the village of Inverinate. Great walking, history, and facilities just a short drive away.    The journey to Morvich takes around 5hrs, allowing for stops, from home. I took the Perth to Dalwhinnie and Laggan Road route. Our first stop was for a quick break in a forest near Catlodge, around 2 hrs into the journey. Another en-route stop at the Ciste Dubh walk near Invergarry. The forecast for this trip was mixed, so instead of the full awning, I opted for the sun canopy which also provides excellent shelter from the rain for drying the dogs or storing the outside kit.   This post is about my most recent trip to Cumbria and Northumberland from the 6th to the 12th of August 2021. It takes the total number of nights living in the caravan this year to 43. I had planned this trip back in the Spring. I noticed a review of Crofton Hall CL on social media, liked what I read, and booked a few nights. Just as well as all pitches look now like they are booked until the end of the season. A 'CL' or Certified Location is an approved C&MC site, privately owned, limited to 5 pitches, and for the exclusive use of C&MC Members. They are normally very basic and is often reflected in the price. It wasn't a great drive south. It was wet, and there were major roadwork delays at Longforgan near Dundee, and on the M74 at Hamilton. This probably added an hour to the journey, taking us in total around 4.5hrs to the site near Dalston just outside Carlisle.  Well worth it, this place was outstanding!
