Back in Kintail

This is night No 14/2019 living in my caravan. No at Morvich C&MC Site near Inverinate in Kintail. I have been here dozens of times in camper vans and caravans. I was last here at the end of Oct 2018.

Slept fairly well, and took the dogs around the adjacent woods for a blast. Definitely colder today (as forecast) and a bit grey too.

After breakfast, I took the dogs for another walk at the Glencoe Lochans near the village. I'm always conscious of giving the dogs as much walking as I can on a 'moving' day like today.

We packed up, disconnected, and hit the road around 0930. A mix of weather on the way north, but pleasant enough. Stopped off at the FC woodland walks just outside Invergarry to give the dogs another good blast. Probably only another hour from here.

Bonnie was particularly interested in what was beyond the fence.

Stopped for a quick photo overlooking the Glen Shiel hills.

Arrived at Morvich around 1230, pitched up, then took the dogs for a walk in the Inverinate woods.

Great views back towards Ben Fhada.

It was still a bit chilly, there was even a touch of snow and sleet as I went through the glen.

From Inverinate, we took the short drive into Kyle of Lochalsh to get some things at the Co-op. Stopped at Ard Hill near Balmacara on the way back to give the dogs another walk. It's a nice loop, here looking over the Skye Bridge.

And here looking east towards Kirkton. Beyond the hill, centre right, is the hallowed ground of Kirkton pitch, home of Kinlochshiel Shinty and the fabled Kinlochshiel Bear! I heard on the radio that they kick off their season tomorrow, so might very well head along.
