Balbirnie

This is night No.31/2019 living in my caravan. Pitched at the Balbirnie Park C&MC Site in Markinch in Fife.

Using this site as a bit go a stop over. I'm heading into Northumberland tomorrow and this stop breaks the journey for the dogs. Probably takes about 90 mins off the trip for them, which is good. However, this is a great site and fantastic for walking the dogs in the adjacent Balbirnie Park.

Balbirnie Park is a massive area where the dogs can run wild!

Another benefit of stopping here is that I can visit one of my daughters in Dunfermline, around 20 mins away.

Had a walk around the park, passing the stunning Abbey on the way.

An outstanding structure.

The skies were a bit 'heavy', but we avoided the showers passing nearby.

Pittencrieff Park has some fine areas to walk including this rather fine walled garden.

The large glasshouse and the walled garden.

The weather is fine this evening, and I'm hoping for a dry week. Fingers crossed!
